Konvertierung von Soundformaten (1)

Ostern ist vorbei und bevor die nächste Saison in meinem Job los geht, hier nun ein erstes Posting zum Titelthema.

Konvertierung ins OGG Vorbis Format mit dir2ogg

apt-get install dir2ogg

installiert das kleine aber nützliche Programm dir2ogg.

dir2ogg versteht MP3, M4A und WAV und erzeugt Ogg Vorbis Dateien (*.ogg).
dir2ogg ist einfach zu bedienen, da es ganze Verzeichnisse als Kommandozeilenargument akzeptiert. D.h. der einfache Befehl

dir2ogg -d .

auf der Konsole eingegeben, konvertiert alle mp3 Dateien im aktuellen Verzeichnis ins Ogg Format.

Ohne Angabe einer Qualitätsstufe werden die Audiodaten auf Stufe 4 kodiert. Das entspricht einer mittleren Bitrate von ungefähr 90kb/s und reicht meinem Gehör meist.
Der Befehl

dir2ogg -d . -pw -q10

kodiert alle mp3 und wav Dateien im aktuellen Verzeichnis mit einer mittleren Bitrate von 300kbit/s (beste Qualität).
Die Option p verhindert das Löschen der konvertierten WAV Dateien.
